D40.3 Cloud service continuous optimization components of brokerage framework


This deliverable presents a method and a tool for optimizing the cloud service usage, by allowing for cloud service evaluations based on heterogeneously expressed service characteristics. Specifically, it develops and implements a fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (fuzzy AHP) approach that solves the problem of service ranking and allows the unified multi-objective assessment of cloud services, including both precise and imprecise criteria. The latter are expressed as crisp values or linguistic terms and fuzzy numbers. The developed mechanism is called the Preference-based cLoud Service Recommender (PuLSaR) and uses a holistic multi-criteria decision making approach for offering optimization as brokerage capability. The specification and implementation details of this dedicated software component are thoroughly discussed in this deliverable, along with three illustrative scenarios.
