South-East European Research Centre (SEERC)

The South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) is an overseas research centre of the University of Sheffield, established as an independent, non-profit legal entity in Thessaloniki, Greece. The centre was founded in 2003 by the International Faculty of the University of Sheffield in Greece (City College Thessaloniki). The public mission of the centre is to support stable and peaceful development in South-East Europe by conducting pure and applied research in and for the region. Research at SEERC addresses a broad range of topics, organised around three research tracks: 
  1. Enterprise, Innovation & Development,
  2. Information & Communication Technologies,
  3. Society & Human Development.
SEERC's primary contribution to the Broker@Cloud project will be in the following areas of work: (i) the identification of high-level requirements for continuous quality assurance and optimisation to be supported by the Broker@Cloud framework, (ii) the specification of the conceptual architecture of the brokerage framework, (iii) the development of methods and mechanisms for cloud service governance, (iv) the development of methods and mechanisms for preventing cloud service failures,  and will additionally assist in (v) the development of methods and tools for the description of enterprise cloud services.
